my prayer.

my prayer is for the freedom to walk among the trees
hear the idle chatter between the branches and the breeze
walk out in the country, or along a city street
without fear of anyone who i may chance to meet.

my prayer is for the wild life which live so close to me
may they escape all predators and keep on being free
free to live and love as is mother nature's way
avoid the human shooters who may come today

my prayer is for clean water and unpolluted air
for honest open politics in our land so fair
for a decent income from whatever work i do
for respect and friendship from every one of you

no matter your religion or what you may believe
be straight with everyone, never to deceive
i had it all when i was young and i think it's quite unfair,
for a few to have it all, when there is enough to share.
